The National Center of Pathology (NCP) of LNS plays a key role in Luxembourg in guiding modern cancer treatment by providing state of the art marker profiling that decide for which drugs patients are eligible. This considerably helps to provide a personalized treatment for Luxembourgish cancer patients.

Prof. Dr Guy Berchem
President of the National Cancer Institute (INC)

My collaboration with the microbiology team of LNS has been outstanding and essential. In day to day basis the care of the patients is improved by rapid and deep diagnosis in case of severe/unusual infections.

Isabel de la Fuente Garcia MD
MsC Paediatrician, Centre Hospitalier Luxembourg

Since the launch of the Luxembourg National Plan for Rare Diseases (NPRD, 2018-2023), LNS has been one of the main contributors to the different activities that were set up in order to implement the diverse objectives of the national plan. The expertise of the LNS teams in biological and genetic testing has largely contributed to the optimization, update and expansion of the neonatal screening programme in Luxembourg.

Anna Pluzhnikova
Coordinator of the National Plan for Rare Diseases

Since 2021, we have been working persistently towards a strong synergy between the CHEM and LNS. I am proud that we have succeeded together, based on solid scientific evidence, in launching the new discipline of Environmental Medicine/Health in Luxembourg, and have full thrust in continuing with the skilled and motivated team of LNS's Department Health Protection.

Dr René Metz,
General Director of the CHEM Hospital
