In 2024, we initiated a new storytelling project aimed at introducing the wide range of professions within the LNS.
The goal is to highlight the people behind the expertise, to humanise our institution, and to raise awareness of the essential roles that are often little-known to the public.

Behind the scenes at the LNS: meet Yannick, Théo, and Arnaud — delivery drivers in our Facility Management team

At the LNS, every diagnosis starts long before it reaches the laboratory. The first step happens out in the field, thanks to the daily commitment of our logistics team.
Today, we’re shining a spotlight on Yannick, Théo, and Arnaud, who have been driving for the LNS for over five years.

Each day, they travel between 400 and 600 kilometers to collect biological samples from hospitals, clinics, and medical practices. We operate four vehicles specially equipped for this task, each fitted with temperature monitoring and alarm systems compliant with ISO 17025 standards. Samples are transported at three controlled temperatures (+20°C, +5°C, and -20°C) and must arrive in perfect condition to ensure reliable analysis results.

Despite logistical challenges — including limited parking in cities and heavy traffic throughout the country — the team consistently reaches its destinations with remarkable punctuality. “We have a fantastic team,” says Jake Hogan, Head of the Logistics Unit. “They’re dedicated, serious, and professional — a real source of pride.”

Independence and team spirit, every day

What do they enjoy most? The team spirit, the good organisation… and the independence. “It’s structured, but we have freedom in our work. And we get along really well.”

Their work is essential and has a direct impact on the medical analysis process. Without fast and secure transport, reliable diagnosis becomes impossible — and patient treatment could be delayed.
